I hate to sound crass, but the Japanese earthquake answered the prayers of every Middle East dictator. How much news coverage have the protests received the last few days?

Curtman Curtman: U.S. says Saudi forces in Bahrain "not an invasion"$1: "We've seen the reports that you're talking about. This is not an invasion of a country," White House spokesman Jay Carney told a news briefing. Change: Yes We can !

If the government of Bahrain asked for assistance, and the force is made up of troops from more than one nation, it can't be called an invasion. More BS journalism.

The Saudis were invited to help restore order.
As far as I'm concerned, good for the Middle East to sort it's own problems out. I know America and Britain have interest in the region, and for what it's worth, the Saudis are helping those interests, nevertheless the days of direct foreign intervention in the ME are over.
By the way, Bahrain's regime is backed by the USA, and if it falls, the USA will lose an ally, and a military base.
Hmmm...where's my bag of popcorn?

Sadly it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, writing the comment your comment could look like. What did you post? Back at mine, it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again the reply is now diamonds. Anything is possible when you think before you post. (Not my work but it's so appropriate).

I don't think Bahrain has the interests of its people in mind by inviting Saudi troops, but calling this an invasion would require one to call Canadian troops in post-Katrina New Orleans an invasion.
