Not a big fan of Westboro Baptists or Satanists, but if they want to fight each other they should feel free to enjoy themselves. Just stay away from my weddings or funerals. (Yes, I go to lots).

This was actually a vicious and ugly-spirited thing to do. Not that I'd ever defend the Phelps-Roper mob in any of their activities. In fact I believe I've said that they deserve a good beating or to have shit-filled diapers thrown at them when they're protesting funerals. But desecrating someone's grave? Doesn't get much lower than that, whatever it is you think or feel about them. The anti-Phelps are supposed to be the good guys? Well, try behaving like it before you proclaim it.

For the record, Phelp's mother died when he was 5 years old, and probably had very little to do with the ass hat he has become.

It's not something I would do, but I admit to some karmic satisfaction. Besdies, there's no indication they did anything to the grave.

Actually I liked the tea party technique of just surrounding the funeral with a human chain, and just not letting the Phelps family through.
