I won't go into what I think of this Liberal toady and his Gov'ts plans for the military but, the only proper thing for him to do now is resign because, a retraction just doesn't cut it when your dealing with stolen honour. He's lost the confidence of the troops he's supposed to be leading and has embarrassed our country on the world stage with this blatant lie.

If he doesn't resign or get resigned it shows that we hold journalists like Brian Williams to a higher standard than the people we elected to lead us which, when you think about it is a very disturbing thought.

What a disgrace. This further sends us down the road as the new laughing stock of the world. It just keeps getting worse and worse under Trudope and his band of idiots.

It's a terrible blunder but it's not resignation worthy. Resignations of senior cabinet ministers are for scandals, not PR blunders and gaffes.

He was a highly respected officer up to this point, even by the usual Liberal-haters, I think his reputation will eventually recover if he smartens up.

A blunder is a mistake. This was an intentional bald face lie that he told and retold. Your defending it as an oopsy is as bad as Bart on Fiddle defending the Trump team's bullshit.

Again, you demonstrate that you're just the B side of the same wooden nickel back album.

Blunders aren't necessarily accidents, poor judgment is also a blunder. Yes he told a bald faced lie but he would probably be the first politician in the history of human civilization to have to resign for that alone.

Bullshit he lied plain and simple which makes him unsuitable for the position he holds. Nobody who makes a "blunder", writes that "blunder" down beforehand and then goes out and accidentally, uses it.

$1:
Those comments, which were not improvised but planned, according to a copy of Sajjan’s prepared remarks for the event, sparked grumblings among some Afghan veterans.

They noted that Operation Medusa was actually planned and executed by then-major-general David Fraser, who at the time was responsible for all NATO forces in southern Afghanistan — a fact Sajjan has since been acknowledged.

Sajjan was a major with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan during Operation Medusa, which is a much lower rank.

But, if you're worried about his constituents not having proper representation in Parliament should he do the honourable thing and resign, how about this compromise. He resigns from his cabinet position as Minister of National Defense and becomes nothing more than another Member of Parliament. He has lost all credibility with the Military, Veterans and I'd likely say most Canadians except you, but the best part is that according to protocol we're still expected to call him the Honourable Harjin Singh Sajjan. But it's just a mistake.

I guess he subscribes to that famous Liberal, Hedy Fry's theory that if you want to make a point Lie, Lie, Lie.

Begs the question... what's better, a politician who makes a lot of mistakes, or a politician who lies a lot? [huh]

Besides, I've always thought that for a politician, lying was a prerequisite.

Pretty comical coming from a Trump supporter. Funny how you and Martin and the rest don't think Trump needs to resign any of the HUNDREDS of outrageously false lies he's told.

Politicians lie, sometimes shamefully. Sajjans lie was shameful. Did you read that Shep? I'll say it again: SAJJANS LIE WAS SHAMEFUL. One more time for the ultra-dense: SAJJANS LIE WAS SHAMEFUL.

But show me one example of a senior minister having to resign for telling a tall tale about their accomplishments in a public speech. Not a lie under oath, or a lie to conceal impropriety but a lie about their accomplishments. I bet you can't. Not because politicians never lie. And the lie was in a speech to a foreign audience overseas to boot.

You accuse me of defending him because he's liberal. I'm not defending him. But you people are demanding that he resign because he's liberal. I'm sure you would not be saying this if it were a conservative Minister.

Spoken like a true left-wing broken record. You're a one-trick pony that can't argue his way out of a wet paper bag. Or, to use a more fitting analogy:

"You're like a bad Mexican burrito.....all fizzle, no sizzle."

Sajjan should be standing with the troops and veteran that he supposedly works for, not dividing them and cheapening what they did on the world stage just so he himself could look 'cool' to everyone. It is unfathomable and disgusting that a Minister of Defence would pull something like this, then try to sweep it under the rug. Deplorable even.

Our soldiers and veterans deserve better than this crap.

WTF does Trump have to do with Harjit lying to the entire Indian Nation about his glorious military deeds?

But for the record I'm only in favour of having Trump as the POS because it makes you people on the left apoplectic with this newly discovered derangement syndrome of yours.

As for resigning. He won't have to even though he should be held to a higher standard given his previous military service and the position he holds. Given that he likely got the position based on that previous military service is it right that he makes policy for the military that holds them to a higher standard than he's willing to show?

But hey, you and the Liberals seem to be okay with lying to make yourself look good. Just look at Kristy Duncan "fake Nobel Laureate" or how about Maryam Monsef, who misrepresented herself when asked where she was born and of course, my favorite Liberal of all time Hedy Fry. All lied with zero consequences.

So, as you can see Harjit is just another in a list of current Liberal liars who when caught shrug it off and carry on as if nothing happened because people like you are willing to let them.

But now that I've got you here I'll add these little tidbits about how others see the Defense Minister.

$1:
Indian leader accuses Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan of being Sikh nationalist

https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/201 ... alist.html

So are these accusations false or is there a grain of truth to them? My guess is that given our gov'ts pandering to special interest groups it likely means that it's a little bit of both.

$1:
Harjit Sajjan the soldier wouldn’t have claimed credit for being ‘architect’ of operation, top NATO officer says

http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canad ... ficer-says

So did he become a liar because he became a politician or, did he become a liar because it's acceptable at the highest levels of our Gov't? I'll leave you to decide for yourself because I've already made my mind up and my decision involves the ramifications of allowing your kids to hang out with the wrong crowd. [B-o]

Cue the resident chickenhawk jock-sniffer with yet another hollow criticism. Read my most recent post prior to this one as I added a third repetition just for you.
