Obviously they don't need the rest of the public to know what they're selling.
All money laundering operations?

Nope. Just businesses that have no interest in non-Chinese customers because they do well being insular.

All of the restaurants I've been to have English on the menus once you get inside. Just used my nose not the signs to find the good ones.

Nope. There are restaurants with no English anywhere and nobody speaks it. It's basically China. They want to live in China, but with Canadian security. this isn't like the old timey Chinatown stuff, where they didn't speak much English but did their best to serve you. This is people who want nothing to do with you. A woman I know was parking at Aberdeen mall when a chinese woman tried to push in, saying "parking is for Chinese people." The diff is that the old time immigrants, no matter where they were from, were mostly trying to build a better life here, didn't come with much. These new Chinese immigrants come with plenty, have much better opportunities back home but want as safe haven when they've fucked things up at home. Used to be it was only the Hong Kongers that were like this, while the Mainlanders were traditional type immigrants. Not any more. House after house on the west side of Vancouver sitting empty just as an investment. Look at houses for sale - almost all Chinese agents. Getting to be like Richmond. I don't think this is good. Immigrants should be coming here for a better life, not as a security backup.
