Some of the people leaving posts on this link are arguing God vs evolution, the bible, Einstein's theories and whether or not Black holes even exist. Sorry to offend any doubters, but we have already proven the existence of black holes. Scientists spent years studying the center of our galaxy, taking snapshots of stars locations over a period of years, and there is a point in the center (with no visible body) that stars rotate around. And just like our own solar system, where planets closer to the sun have faster orbits, these stars closer to the black hole orbit a lot faster than stars farther away. We've proven there existence, Black holes (along with possibly dark matter) is what holds a galaxy together so to speak. If there wasn't something in the center of galaxies with a tremendous gravatational force then galaxies would never have formed. Stars would just be floating through the universe randomly.
