This is stupid. Extensions exist for a reason and being unable to take parental leave because of deployment certainly fits that reason.

There are a lot of things that the Feds need to do with the CF that the US, UK and Australia already do.

When I was in the TA in the UK (Brit Militia) I got 8 weekends and 2 weeks a year paid leave ABOVE my annual leave entitlement so I could attend training etc.

A years leave of absence for deployments is part of UK employment law. The Aussies also make life easier for reserve forces.

The Germans give anybody who serves for 8 years and over paid tuition for up to three years.

There is a lot more we can do for those Canadians who serve in the military.

Think about it. The Liberals gave prisoners the vote so I'm going out on a limb here and saying that it's quite possible they're the ones who gave the prisoners all these other perks.

Other than bribery how else would you get these poor poor victims of society to vote for you.
