I think her story would have been more offensive if she was forced to move. In the end he was the one who moved so his religious values were not imposed on her.

I think she was upset that the man and the airline both had the audacity to ask her to move.

BeaverFever BeaverFever:

Audacity is the perfect word for that too. Takes some serious friggin' balls to say, "Excuse me, would you mind switching seats? This gentleman finds your lack of male genitalia to be offensive." Yeah yeah, I'm paraphrasing. Get over it.

You'll also note that Jew-boy wanted someone else to switch seats with HER, not with him.

He didn't want to sit beside her, so wanted her to move. And he wouldn't even look at or talk to her, was trying to get another man to move into her seat.

$1:
According to an April 9 article in the New York Times, conflicts between ultra-Orthodox Jewish men and female passengers on flights are becoming more common, with several flights from New York to Israel being delayed or disrupted over the past year.
Sounds like the airline should be getting people to state their problem before they are assigned seats. Have a separate line "religious nutbags, line up here."

Too bad there wasn't a flaming gay man to sit this guy beside. "hello, thailor."

BE REAL interesting to see the flight attendant's, airline's and media reaction and the various "peanut gallery" comments if someone boarded a plane, noticed that they were going to be seated next to an ultra-Orthodox Jew(or a Muslim) and had a major problem with it.

In a related story, it appears that even El Al doesn't have any set procedures in place when this kind of situation arises.

No, and apparently it creates all sorts of mayhem and flight delays. IF you read the same story I did, it also talks about Muslims who have to pray 5 times a day facing Mecca on long distance flights. They have an app that tells them when to pray and which direction to pray in. I'd hate to be on that plane. Basically if you're that observant maybe you shouldn't be flying in the first place. What do the Muslim pilots do, turn the plan towards Mecca?

She gas every right to sit in the seat assigned to her.

Women's rights are just as valid as religious rights.

I suspect his approach to her was vulgar in the sense he was accusing her of being a women and his religion decides he is better, and he gets to tell her to move.

He asked her to move.

What part of that is not vulgar?

If this was so important to this person then he should tell the airline before he boards he needs to be away from women.

Maybe purchase a row of seats in the cause of his religion.

It's like peanut allergies.

I saw this on tv last night and I thought she had been asked by him at first.

Wow.

The airline should have told him to rebook.

They choose his right over hers.

What an insulting religious nut tosser. If the woman happened to be black or moslem the sonversation would have ended differently and the way this should have ended - Sit in your assigned seat or get off the plane.

He didn't even have the guts the guts to explain why he countn't sit next to a shiska. Join the 21 Century you fat head.

You're going to find out, probably the hard way, that isn't true.
