Trudeau's everybody's welcome and the Liberal Gov'ts unwritten open border policy is reaping the rewards it so richly deserves. Alot of Canadians are getting pissed off and deservedly so.
Canadian's aren't adverse to and don't oppose immigration. What they want is controlled immigration so they don't have to feel that our country has become a lackey state of the UN and dumping ground for their policy of mass refugee resettlement.
But, you've gotta love the Liberals gall. Instead of listening to the poll the Liberals have decided to double down on "newcomers" just like the UN wants. Hussen's statement is just another example of Lib speak to trick us into thinking that refugees or "irregular" border jumpers with no discernible skills or financial parachutes and who, like it or not will become wards of the state for the foreseeable future are an immediate benefit rather than an burden to taxpayers.
$1:
"I think the answer is to continue on an ambitious program to invest in infrastructure, to invest in housing, to invest in transit, so that everyone can benefit from those investments and that we can then use those community services to integrate newcomers, which will also benefit Canadians."
So, exactly how will transit benefit "newcomers" especially since they tend to ghettoize themselves upon arrival and how will building housing for "newcomers" benefit Canadians? If you read between the lines of his ambiguous statement Hussens saying that, after the "newcomers" get the perks and then, hopefully get themselves off the dole (probably in a generation or more) the services that Canadians paid for, for years can then be given to or used by our poor?
Seems like a long wait for the people who should be the Gov'ts priority in the first place instead of some UN sponsored immigrants and illegal border jumpers.
