We need someone to de-escalate world problems. This appears an attempt to do so. Good for him. What do you think?

$1: 10. There is still a chance to construct a new world order that will avoid a world war. This new world order must of necessity include the United States - but can only do so on the same terms as everyone else: subject to international law and international agreements; refraining from all unilateral action; in full respect of the sovereignty of other nations. The US will never agree to such terms, and it's easy to see why the Western media won't touch it. So nothing to worry about, I do like the 'Empire of Chaos' though, it fits really well.

We live in Canada, not the United States. We have to take the larger view. Two nations competing, you can't say an agreement is dependent on agreement of just one and not the other. That's biased. Furthermore, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the United States should have rejoiced. They should have celebrated that fact the Cold War is over. Accepted freedom for all nations of the world. But they didn't, they claimed the United States is the only remaining superpower. You do realize claiming you're number one, that you rule, constitutes a declaration of war on the planet. The United States has the largest military of any single country in the world, but even it cannot compare to all the rest of the planet planet combined. I thought that declaration, the "New World Order", was extremely dangerous. I know something would give. I didn't expect a non-government organization to rise with the intent of kicking the United States out of their part of the world. That was Al Qaeda. What they did is more accurately called non-conventional warfare, not really terrorism. Are they bad? Yes. Was the invasion of Afghanistan justified after 9/11? Yes. But there were much better ways of handling it.
Now Putin is trying to de-escalate. And you guys want to dismiss simply because one of the two former (emphasize "former") superpowers doesn't want to agree. Let's be clear, the United States is not the empire of the world. No one is. No one can ever be. No the Soviet Union, not the British Empire, not Ancient Rome, no one.
I don't want to defend Putin, because he's done some nasty things. But many things done by the United States cannot be defended either. This speech sounds like a good start. Too bad it didn't come from a Western political leader. Yes, this does mean Putin is demonstrating leadership.

So exactly how is annexing the Crimea, and sending Russian troops undercover to fight in the Ukraine "de-escalating" world problems? Seriously? What do I think? I think this story is a crock of shit!!! I think the title is a crock of shit!!! Putting this ex KBG thug ass POS"s name in the same article with Winston Churchill's name is an affront to common decency. Thats what I think.

$1: To these nine points I would like to add a tenth:
10. There is still a chance to construct a new world order that will avoid a world war. This new world order must of necessity include the United States - but can only do so on the same terms as everyone else: subject to international law and international agreements; refraining from all unilateral action; in full respect of the sovereignty of other nations. There is no necessity to include Americans (or anybody, for that matter) if a new world order is what you want. The USSA can be ostracized and treated as would be any other leper colony while the rest of the world goes on their peaceful way.

When Putin withdraws from Ukraine I'll care what he says about world peace. Until then I'm okay with someone dosing his ass with polonium or Novichok.

Putin withdrawing from Ukraine? He is a Checkist through and through, nothing will change there. You would sooner see HildaBeast join a convent.

Because we don't have a fiction section. $1: Notes: Signs of the Times is a news and opinion website that tends to focus on conspiracy theories and pseudoscience. They have quite a bit of legitimate news, but some of the outrageous stories overshadow it. (1/31/2017) https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/signs-of-the-times-sott/

As a history buff I understand the historical claim Russia has on the Crimea, however, they can blame the ghost of Khrushchev for transferring the Crimean Peninsula from the Russian SFSR to the Ukraine SSR in the 1954.
