Great. Operating businesses isn't the purpose of government anyway. The fewer things they're involved in the better. If selling government-owned businesses also helps balance the budget, that's a nice side-effect. Sell 'em all off. He's been asleep at the wheel for years. That's clear. But your attempts to paint him as corrupt are unfounded. Which "friends" of his did he give money to?

He hired her. When he found out she was a tool, he fired her and introduced measures to avoid that from happening in the future. There's no corruption or "getting money for his friends" in that story, RR. Try again.

After $5 million dollars of untendred contracts got handed out.. not including her $300,000 bail out. That's only E-health too. He fired the Lotto folks before they could investigate too.

.. but it's pretty clear what side your on and I don't have the patience to play that game. I don't need to prove anything here. The Ontario voters will decide if they believe in McGuinty.

The side I'm on is the side that is disappointed with McGuinty's lack of leadership and failure to live up to his election promises (specifically when it comes to undoing the Harris government damage that he promised to fix). I'm also pissed off with McGuinty's failure to keep closer eyes on a lot of corrupt public services and government agencies, inlcuding the two you've mentioned. I called it being "asleep at the wheel" and because of those COLOSSAL fuck-ups, I will not vote for him again.

But that's different from your claims that McGuinty is corrupt. He's been a terrible premier, but he's not a crook. Any attempts on your part to paint him in that light are lies. There's no other word for it. I have no problem with you criticizing him. Go for it. I'll join in. There's plenty of real things to criticize him for without making shit up.

The main reason you pay more for health (and education) is Harris cut those services to the point where they were in shambles. If Eaves had remained in power you'd have no hospital at all! And how much extra municipal tax do you pay as a result of Harris' downloading?

Do you have kids in school then or now? Have you experienced rural health care or other Provincial, errr, Municipal services in rural areas?

I do now. Kids. The Catholic school system has weathered the Rae/Harris storm.

What I have experienced is the 'health care' premium without the healthcare. I pay a lot more provincial wage taxes than I get back in service. I'm sure Toronto is doing just fine.

Again, I'm not happy with McGuinty. But RR's characterization of him as a corrupt crook was bullshit that needed calling. Criticizing a man is a different bird than slandering him.
