I am a only child, sure I wasn't completely loney. However as far as not having a brother or sister impacting your social skills. I'd definetly think having one would have been better off. You can be yourself with your brother or sister which IMO I think is important. Kids no a way are way too strained to be something they are not.
Kids who have brothers or sisters can spend the day socializing with kids there own age and come home and do the same with there brothers or sisters. Only childs can still have friends and play with them all day but when they come home. I very much doubt they will spend much time socializing with there parents.

Only one rule, I think, the more socializing you do as you're growing up, the better. It can be with siblings, friends or parents, doesn't matter.

Maybe they're not lonely, but a big brother can beat up the jackass making your life a living hell!
