You guys ever read the short story "The Billion Names of God" by I believe Arthur C Clarke. A bunch of Tibetan monks hire a computer programmer to set up a program that produces all possible words. The monks believe humanities purpose on earth is to say all nine billion names of God, at which time everything will end. The atheist programmer scoffs at the notion, and sets the program to running. As it nears the end, he looks up at the sky and sees "one by one, the stars were going out..."

How do you know. From a biblical standpoint some Christians have been expecting the end times and return of Jesus since the year after he died. His contemporaries were sure he would return during their lifetime.

Actually he retired to Florida. The arthritis in his hands and feet, the stabbing pain in his side and those migraines have become really thorny issues for him. The humidity helps.
