Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Not much to say, good luck finding anyone who supports North Korea.

There's simply very little to support North Korea for. Even if I were to try.

But it is reassuring to the rest of us to know that you'll defend the DPRK no matter what an international team of investigators has to say.

It's a boil that has been long overdue for lancing. It will make a great glass parking lot.

SK sure seems to be taking its time to react. Hard to see how this won't embolden the North. Wonder of the US is holding the SK leash right now?

Vancouver is within striking range of the DPRK's missile force.

Too bad Obama cancelled the Bush missile defence program that would've protected Canada from such an attack.

You think their missile would actually make it to Vancouver?

Yes. The Taep'o-dong-2 missile has a 12,000km range and it's only about 8,500km between most of the DPRK and southern BC.

And, once launched, there is literally nothing around to stop it because letting a Canadian or American city get nuked is less hassle than upsetting the Russians with a modest ABM defense.

I'm betting it would explode in the silo. NK can't seem to build anything half decent.

NK has been exporting their technology to Iran, Syria, and etc. and they have managed to build some very reliable equipment. Also, to my knowledge, the NK don't use fixed silos because they're afraid of the US ability to neutralize those kind of things with stealth weapons. They tend to favor mobile launchers and they tend to favor dispersed and camoflauged launch sites.

If they wanted to hit Vancouver and/or Seattle I'm about 99% confident that they can do so. The question is whether or not that attack will put a crater in a downtown parking garage or if it will immolate a million people and the pisser is that we won't know until the missile hits.

And, again, I do not understand in the least why so many leftish Canadians and Americans are in opposition to a North American missile defense that would take out missile strikes from a small country like NK.
