A blogger at the Village Voice found a Facebook profile for a 21-year-old Enright from Brewster. In his porfile, Enright claims to have worked for a New York-based and left-leaning nonprofit called Intersections International. The company had recently endorsed the building of the proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero.
Police said the attacker was an employee of an "internet media company who had recently spent time with a combat unit in Afghanistan filming military exercises until this past May," Politico reports.
An employee for Intersections International told the Village Voice that a Michael Enright was a freelancer for them.
Police said Enright was very intoxicated when he was arrested.
Enright was a (former?) left-wing nutbag. Probably the *only* anti-Muslim left winger I know of on this planet, too.
I can only assume that while he was on vacation in the sandbox he experienced a trauma that was liberated by a binge. I imagine today he's deeply regretful of what happened.
