I cannot see a Professor resisting arrest. To much at stake.

$1:
Some protesters claimed Correia had his arms by his side and attempted to walk past the guard, who then bumped him against a wall. Correia told reporters he would plead not guilty to the charge.

This is why. The matter is very much in dispute.

"Resisting arrest" and "Obstruction of Justice" are two charges on their own that translate to English as "Contempt of Cop" and "A Great Excuse for Cops to beat, tase, gas, or murder anyone they want."

In most jurisdictions the DA will summarily dismiss Resisting and Obstruction charges if those are the only charges laid against a defendant.

The absurdity of arresting someone for resisting arrest should be self-evident.

Agree. It looks very much like the cops in the APD think they are above the law. Probably a few murders away from acting like 80's era Brazil-like death squads.
