I would assume the same way that all those did, considering they're all considered low cost brands too. And having driven both Coupe and Sedan Genesis, Coupe and Sedan G35, the Genesis should more than hold it's own. Provided people can get by their pre-existing notions of products.
Perhaps better to say they were all low cost brands, because no one would call
Toyota or Honda low cost these days.
So Hyundai will try the same progression from low cost to high end builder,
time will tell if people get over the "cheap Korean stuff", like they did with Japanese.
My Skoda's engine has a rather large VW stamp in the bottom of it.
