I wish the 101 were never canceled. Now we are dealing with this and putting sea crate crews in more jeopardy.

Given that the Coast Guard has had nothing but problems with their EH-101s, I'm not sure that they would be any better. I remember back when Canada bought the CF-18s and they found cracks in the tail assemblies. People were talking about the terrible purchase Trudeau made. Yet 20+ years later, they are operated by a dozen countries and are considered excellent planes.

Only time will tell whether these Cyclones are white elephants or a good purchase.

well I was thinking more on the lines of we would already be flying the sea kings replacement. Not so much related to this equipment being a lemon or not.

Well, I was against cancelling the EH-101 contract, but it happened and now we have to deal with the fall out. All we can really do is hope that these new helos are as good as advertised.

I wouldn't count on it, Canada is like one of those really bad shoppers.
I'd be impressed if our government actually finally buys some choppers and they actually got to there military in one tact. How long has it been since we have been putting in orders for desperatly needed choppers? Since the start of this war, and yet no delivery yet. My guess is it's going to be another chinook disaster. God I wish we had those chinooks, I love them. They are the best and huge enough to fit a crap load of soldiers or supplies like humanitarian aid supplies for countries or war equipment.

Not only that, but powerful enough to lift armor into combat. Good job Government.
