While flying the gay pride flag, they removed the straight pride flag and said it was insensitive. Odd.

The guy should have hoisted both flags side by side. Equality. And it makes it really hard to call someone insensitive.

“Straight pride” is like “white pride”. It means something totally different than gay pride or black pride.

It means some people celebrate being normal.

Black isn’t normal eh? Good to know

No, it means they think they’re normal and everyone else is abnormal Being accepted as normal isn’t something you celebrate, it’s something you deny to others

"Normal" doesn't need to struggle to be normal. Like the person said on CBC lasr night, how many times have you been attacked for walking down the street with your wife?

I've told you several times now not to add things to my comments that were not there to begin with.

You do this again with me or anyone else and it will be a warning.

I've got to start checking the top three stories section at the top of the news page to see if a story has already been posted.

I'm tying a string around my finger right now so I don't forget.

So it's not okay to be proud of who you are if you are white and strait? Others will automatically see this as offensive and demand that you feel guilty? They will claim that their problems are because of you and that you must adhere to their wishes and demands on how you conduct yourself? This is what TOLERANCE means to anyone who says that being proud of being white and or strait is wrong.

I was talking with friends of mine who are a gay couple about this issue and they saw nothing wrong with flying a 'straight' flag. They didn't see it as a slight against gays at all. But then they are not militant about their sexually.

I'm a believer that what you do for one, you must allow for others, its called precedent. So I think it a mistake to take down the "Straight Pride" flag and leave up the "Gay pride" flag.

It's really not. It's just the idiots that usually put up white pride signs happen to be the worst humans on Earth.
They just need to stop all this racial and sexuality pride altogether. The new generation is completely oblivious to the differences anyway. Start talking about unity, and equality for all. Then get people to actually like one another enough that we can tackle the real problems.
