I think this is all just a misunderstanding. He meant to say "whining"....NATO troops are not whining in Afghanistan. There. That makes a lot more sense and it's closer to the truth.

I think that the mission should end as scheduled and leave it at that, if the rest of NATO and the Afghans can't get their shit together by then oh well we tried (and did more good than anyone), our boys and girls cretainly don't need to keep dying over there anymore.

I agree. Canada alone cannot save Afghanistan and Canada alone isn't NATO. If NATO can't get it's shit together without Canada, I question why we take part.

I've seen Drapeau on a few things. He came across as an arrogant wanker who was most likely despised by any he tried to 'lead'. For a retired senior officer, he isn't a friend of the CF.
