Huh. That's new, usually the leftist leaders need tons of bloodshed to get them out of office.

Bolivia's embattled socialist president Evo Morales.

You're right though. It is getting hard to tell them all apart without a program.

I said who are the leftist leaders who’ve needed “tons of bloodshed to leave office?”

Try to keep up

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
then they break the unions, with gunfire, and sell out the ground from underneath the people's feet

Just like the capitalists and bankers did in Hungary in 1956 and in Czechoslovakia in 1968 and in Poland in the 1980's. Oh, wait, it was the national communist governments who sent in the army to shoot all those students and union people down and send the leaders off to the dungeons. My bad.

I wonder if this will encourage people in Venezuela to amp up their protest and pressure on the Govt.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
it's a fucking coup.

Morales declared himself the winner of the recent election BEFORE the votes were counted.

That was strike one.

Then he tried having the military enforce his edict and that was strike two when they refused.

So it's not at all a coup but instead is democracy in action with the assist of a military that's loyal to the people and the nation as opposed to a leader.

Score one for the good guys! R=UP

Bart is right it was never a coup, he lost the election and didn't want to give up power, a typical move for the majority of South American nations...
