Sounds like it was a waste of time...countries who opt out of funding do not have to be monitored for emissions....

Hurray for the new green world order. Now we need to countdown for the braying greenies, demanding we sign so we can start giving China our money.

$1: Responding to the reports, Greenpeace UK executive director John Sauven expressed disappointment.
"It is now evident that beating global warming will require a radically different model of politics than the one on display here in Copenhagen." Did that statement make anyone else feel rather uneasy??

The United States, China, India, Brazil and South Africa have reached a "meaningful" climate change agreement, although nothing large enough in scope to truly combat global warming, a senior U.S. official sayshttp://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2009/12/1 ... t-day.html

Abandoning hope of a comprehensive deal, a group of about 25 countries tried to agree on a two-page political statement that would lay out critical elements. It called for spending $30 billion in the next three years to help poor countries cope with climate change, spending that would ramp up to $100 billion per year by 2020.http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/s ... pStoriesV2

Pundits on CNN are saying that there's no chance Obama is going to be able to push this through congress anyways. It is a huge step up from his Apology world tour though.

Isn't China's stance is that they will not allow people in to monitor their emissions ?

http://therealnews.com/t2/index.php?opt ... mival=4624Evo Morales, Bolivian President, said, "The budget of the United States is 687 billion dollars for defense. And they want to, for climate change -- to save life, to save humanity -- they want to put up 10 billion dollars. This is shameful." Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has also blasted the actions of industrialized countries. Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan President, said, "In the streets they are saying the following: if the climate was a bank, you would have already saved it. And I think that's true. If the climate was a big capitalist bank, you would have already saved it. You, the rich governments."Yeah... That's good enough for me.. Here's my $3000.
