You'd think that the Suez Port Authority would own a tug or two big enough to move the large ships using the canal, but I guess this doesn't happen often enough to justify the cost of such a tug.

I'm sure they can push a container ship around easily. The problem is in that picture. The large hydrodynamic nose on the ship is securely embedded in the sand bank.

The Bulbous Bow. What gets me is if they were broadside to a sandstorm, why didn't they drop her anchors? Ships like that usually have the Port/Starboard anchor, and sometimes a Stern anchor, so she doesn't spin (as much) while she's moored.
