Well, it succeeded in distracting from 'impeachment' for a week.

As long as the audience is convinced that Soliemani and Trump are the bad guys, then all is good.

$1:
The CEO of Maple Leaf Foods spoke out against the United States government days after an Iranian missile accidentally shot down a Ukrainian jetliner

This was not an accident. The missile team identified a target, they got approval to launch, and they killed it.

Their mistake was in the selection of the target. But the shoot down itself was deliberate and approved by military chain of command and was not at all accidental.

Indiscriminate is the better descriptor here.

The US is not at all responsible for the Iranian actions. They were engaged in an offensive action against US forces and the US did exactly nothing in response. Their own paranoia is what caused them to shoot at a civilian airliner.

This CEO can go fuck himself with his Trump Derangement Syndrome and if I ever see anything from his shit company I will not be buying it.

I will also send this boycott notice out to my friends.

Right now.

Both of them?

Pretty sure Trump pulled out of the nuclear deal to spite Obama. Full stop.

Please explain to the 'audience' why you think Soliemani was a good guy.

Go ahead, we'll wait.

I'm pretty sure Trump pulled out of the 'deal' because it allowed the Iranians to continue development on a nuke and it implicitly permitted them to assemble and test a nuke after the 'deal' expired after ten years.

Any deal that allows Iran to have a nuke is unacceptable and this President knows this.

Not to mention the Iranians are funding a whole slew of terrorist groups all over the sandbox.

Basically. The US isn't responsible for Iranian actions but Trump is certainly entirely responsible for pushing the entire situation to the brink in order to placate the Saudis and Israelis. Walking away from the nuclear deal was reckless and absolutely un-necessary. All it did was amount to a provocation designed to ensure the Iranians would react the way they have. Just like the actual experts told Dubya exactly what would happen if the US overthrew Saddam the same experts told Trump the same thing about Iran. And just like in 2003 the people who actually knew what they were talking about were ignored due to the cult-like insanity of internal US politics.

It's inevitable now. Everyone better not be surprised when it erupts for real because it's not like we haven't seen this exact same thing play out before.

Remember how I've frequently said that the Iranian people are generally nice folks?

Those decent people are right now putting their lives on the line to protest their government shooting down the airliner. R=UP

Killing an Iranian shitbag terrorist who was in another country to kill people was a response and not a provocation.

I'm only sorry that I didn't get to kill the fuck myself.

The situation is what it is now. The relative evil or goodness of the target that got whacked is essentially irrelevant, except to stir up even more angry emotions that have already made the issue into a crisis, and then further on from a crisis into an out-of-control catastrophe.

Screw you guys. Trump LIED (#15,000 and?) about imminent threats, provoked a response, continued his threats and left the whole area on edge. He's responsible for killing 57 Canadians as much as the underling that pressed the fire button.
And he's still shooting off his fat mouth.
Hopefully he's pissed off enough Republican lackeys in the Senate they'll find their nuts and abstain or walk out for the impeachment vote.

The American version of how and why it all came around can't be trusted simply because it's caught in the usual web of falsehoods, evasions, denials, and outright lies that are have been typical behaviour of the US administration for three straight years now. Even if telling the truth was in their own immediate best interest the Trump team default setting is still to do and say the exact opposite. :|
