No rush really.

Hmm, the Translation seems to be the least of the problems here. Hell, that should have been done 3 years ago, but somehow this preliminary step is now just getting started? I suspect the Announcement was politically expedient, but not very practical at the time to follow through on.

I own one of those JDM minitrucks, there can't be more than a couple thousand in Canada, and there's eight or so different brands.
Yet someone has managed to translate every single manual from Japanese and sells them over the Internet. Look him up ans hire him.
The bullshittiest excuse I've ever heard. Not one member of the CF who can run Adobe, scan the manual and translate the text in a couple days?

Mechanic.
Supposed to know how the parts go together or look at the diagram.
Can't understand it? Then you're reassigned to the Latrine Squad until we buy some trucks from fucking Pugeot.

Governement employees send out reports and messages all the time in English or French only with a comment on the bottom saying "French Translation to follow." If that is allowed then why not the same for this? "French manual to follow."

As Bart said, more absurdity, and its costing us all more money.

Are you actually saying Canada should eliminate all dual language services and force all non-english to speak english or else?

That is by definition anti-Canadian.

No. The absurdity is that this program was announced 3 years ago and only now is it going to Bid. That's only like the next thing to do after the announcement.

I think the point of bi-lingualism is that you can use either of the two. Oh ! the stuff is in English, good we know that, oh its in French no worries we know French aswell i.e more flexiblilty.

Bi-lingual is not suppose to be both languages all the time or two mono lingual communities pretending to be bi-lingual. Its one language or the other.
