It is politically brilliant. They are doing the same thing to the CPC that they did to the Reform Party. Both will forever have the label 'racists'. And Kellie Leitch isn't helping that any.

If some of the Tories are reckless enough to reinvent themselves along the lines of Trump with hyperactive American-style pseudo-patriotism, and the party lets them do it, then they deserve what happens to them. That kind of thing will not work in Canada, not when we've got a front-row seat to watch that kind of political degeneration and depravity happening just across the border.

^^ I very much agree. The CPC should have taken a lesson from Harpers' tactics during the election and learnt their lesson.

Divisiveness doesn't play well here.

This is why I figure if he wants it Trudeau will probably be at least a four-term PM. Seems the Tories have to sink to the absolute bottom after a loss and then spend at least ten years rebuilding themselves before they become something respectable enough that stinks less. Look at Ontario. What's it been there, fifteen years now of rebuilding because all the post-Mike Harris leaders they've had have decided to put every stupid voter-alienating idea that some background goofs and party radicals can think up on display? No one should ever assume that the federal party can't be just as stupid, especially not when they don't have someone like Harper around anymore to give them a slap every once in a while to keep them on track.

Hope the PC's don't let that O'Leary guy become the next leader, a disaster in the making.

ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

He won't even make it to two. At the very most, if he does get a second term, it will be a minority. Four term? When pigs fucking fly.

Yeah, because all signs right now are pointing towards the country being desperate for a Tory comeback.

At this point, why not? Let's just take this old horse out back and "shoot, shovel and shut up". ;)

Then we can move on to a really Conservative party that might have a chance of winning an election.

It would be an interesting experiment with O'Leary if just to see if enough Canadian voters are dumb enough to be fooled by a reality show huckster the same way enough American voters were. :|

Yeah, might as well go full-Leviathan Thomas Hobbes style. Only after everything's been burnt down will the other side be convinced that burning everything down really isn't a very good or wise thing to do.
