What is it with these
Fu?ks! Once again thinking their above the law. My friend is a Police Officer in Ottawa and said that years ago, when ever they pull over an Politician or terrorist (oops)diplomat that they had to
contact the RCMP. I have to get into politics!

He should get himself the same lawyer that Rahim Jaffer had.

He has already admitted that he failed to provide a sample, or in other words he "refused to blow".

Not to nitpick, but "failing to provide" and "refusing to provide" are two different things. I would NEVER provide a breath sample, but I would never REFUSE to do so.

Cop: "I want you to blow in the tube"
Lemmy: "Sure thing"
Cop: "Okay, blow"
Lemmy: "Okay"
Cop: "You need to blow now"
Lemmy: "Okay"
Cop: "You're not blowing, you need to blow harder"
Lemmy: "Okay"
Cop: "If you don't blow, I'm going to charge you with refusing to provide a breath sample"
Lemmy: "I'm not refusing, I'm agreeing to blow. Give 'er to me, let's go"
Cop: "okay, blow"
Lemmy "okay"
etc, etc.... :D

But seriously, the guy's entitled to a day in court before he's penalyzed. I'm pretty sure I've read that somewhere.

I use a Breath Alcohol Tester as part of my job. I know how much air it takes. I've tried to defeat the device in training using shallow blowing, etc.

If someone honestly can't muster enough air for one of these machines they should be under medical care on a ventilator.
