What a load of bullshit, she never told anyone so she did not break the policy.

Though I do support the don't ask don't tell policy. What ever your sexual orientation is, there is no reason for the military to know about it.

Some of the thinking behind not allowing gays to serve as members is that they could be blackmailed over their sexual preference, thus posing a security risk. If being gay was accepted, there would be no security problems over blackmail. Imagine if the Greeks had the anti gay attitude thousands of years ago. European civilization would be based upon the Persian ideals, not the Greek ones.

I don't support it at all. It shouldnt matter, whether you tell or not. What the police did is an invasion of privacy, and totally uncalled for. Her discharge is ridiculous.
I didnt read the whole story, but I sure as hell hopes she sues and wins.

I simply support it because I don't care what someones sexual orientation is, therefore I don't want them telling me what it is because I don't want to hear about it in the first place. My gay friend and me have an unspoken agreement, I don't make gay jokes he doesn't talk about his gay sex. I don't want to hear about two guys going at it anymore than I want to hear about a man and a dog going at it.

The whole black mail thing may have worked years ago, when coming out meant a life of discrimination and misery. Being gay was similar to what being a pedophile is today.

However these days, I can't imagine that, for someone who is openly gay, they are any more vulnerable to blackmail than gays.

It's just a Bible thing. Everyone knows it. Some just ain't admitting it.

Just another example of American irrational discrimination. It never ceases to amaze just how incredibly stupid they can be sometimes

If it's official policy how can it be 'generalization' Americans need to get out of the 18th century and into the 21st.

Again you generalize...you blame an entire nationality based on one piece of government(federal) legislation, ignoring the fact that some states have passed legislation recognizing gays right to marry, and more will follow. Seems you're a two trick pony, bashing away at Americans and people who have faith.

That policy is a accurate representation of what their country stands for, not to mention the fight against equal rights against gays in that country, much of it from the religious right. Some states have legalized it by the country of a whole still treats gays now how blacks were treated before the civil rights actions of the 60's

Do you believe that gays and lesbians should be discriminated against in the American armed forces?, if you support "Dont ask Dont tell" you do.

I would say that you would prefer to ignore the discriminatory behavior of that country because its religious people who are fighting to keep gays from having equal rights.
