The Lord spoke again to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them, 2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth... all sorts of crazy dietary rules. Oh, and ye may not partaketh of the spliff unless it doeth not containeth insects and other treif. But doeth partake thou aplenty of the Kosher Kush, so that thou may receive my instructions via the "burning bush" (as thou will tell the gullible)."

I understand that part... but they DO eat fruits and vegetables grow outside. Do the producers guarantee that there are no insects on them when they go to the market or when they're produced?

1 word: Kosher pesticide. Sorry, two words.

Can't wait for halal pot. It's not only insect free, but blows up when you try to smoke it. Just where do you think the word assassin comes from? FD will have a fit, claiming this is "stoner jihad."

I'd rather have produce with the insects but without the pesticides... and WTF did they eat or smoke before pesticides? [huh]

Wasssamattafoyou? You're trying to use logic on religious beliefs? Thing is they could eat some insects. Locusts for instance. Locusts and honey were standard hermit/prophet food in those days.

Also, like Halal food, since they must eat Kosher food, and consume Kosher plants or medicines in this case and since Kosher products must be produced by those whom have experience with Kosher products, i.e. Jewish people for Kosher, Muslim people for Halal, the companies providing the products must employ Jewish people or organizations for Kosher and Muslim people or organizations for Halal, this creates jobs for them.

Now of course, the Kosher or Halal label you see on almost all of the products you buy in the grocery store comes at a price, but we wouldn't want to seem racist right ?

Whats weird is, I even see the symbols on products like aluminum foil. I am not completely sure how that can be Kosher.

The symbols are pretty discreet but if you bought any of the products in your fridge or cupboard at a Canadian Grocery store the chances are you will find one of these symbols:

The first 2 seem the most common.

It tells those who strictly observe Kosher that the foil has never come into contact with any of the proscribed foods, ie: the machines that produce it don't process meat or milk, or anything that came into contact with those. If it did, it would have one of the "MK" or "Kosher Dairy" symbols on it.
