Of course it was inevitable, you don't turn away billions of dollar in businesses for narrow ideology.

I just posted this for all Alberta Dippers, this is their swan song they talk of Harper being useless on the pipeline file, while they were dead set against Keystone. Notely even went on record during the US election to take the same road as Clinton and basically say fuck that pipeline. It doesn't fit into the climate change agenda.

Now the hunt is singing it's the pipelines praise for all the jobs it's going to produce in Alberta and how good it is for our economy. One time Rachel was asked before leaving on one of her trips to DC if she would be talk with the US and promote Keystone, she said she had other more important priories.

Harper was right, we just needed a different President one that wasn't put into office by anti pipeline money.

And then we have elites like Linda McQauig praising her socialist idols for doing what she wants Canada to stop doing.

This is a lie.

Calgary Herald 15 Nov 2016 CHRIS VARCOE Calgary Herald 15 Nov 2016 CHRIS VARCOE:
If Trump backs the cross-border pipeline, will it finally get the full support of the Notley government? That’s an open question.

The premier hasn’t yet made a clear declaration on where her government stands in terms of actively pushing for TransCanada Corp.’s project.

https://www.pressreader.com/canada/calg ... 3635735503

$1:
But when it comes to the proposed Keystone pipeline which would carry Alberta crude oil to the U.S. gulf coast and which Trump supported, Notley said her focus remains on a Canadian pipeline.

That doesn't mean Keystone, which President Obama rejected last year, doesn't have merit for the industry, she said, but losing control over pipeline decisions isn't a good long-term strategy for Canada's economic development

This is a lie.

Not really. It's ignorance and willful blindness. Stupidity isn't dishonesty.

I used to think he was either misinformed, or willfully ignorant. But after correcting him on so many things, and having him willfully disregard the facts, I'm convinced he's doing it on purpose.

Having a Canadian politician on any level say anything at all about a US election is so far away from normal that it would create a media frenzy. The fact that we heard nothing about any comment by Notley during the election was the first alarm bell. A little Google-fu turned up not one whiff of his assertion.

I'm no longer thinking he's misinformed or ignorant. I'm pretty sure he's trolling for 'lefties'. So I'll treat him as such.

Not exactly. It's more an arguable assumption, spun from a concrete fact.

Notley did "go on record during the US election to take the same road as Clinton and basically say fuck that pipeline."

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/ ... -1.3239595

She made no claims about climate change on that one though. She claimed her policy would be to build more refineries so that the bitumen didn't have to be shipped.

However...point us to where all these refineries are going up in Alberta now. Because we can show you how what they call "Climate Change" is an actual real world priority for her.

But you two already knew that didn't you? It isn't like you were "ignorant or willfully blind" to what a 2 minute Google would have shown you.

You're the one that tells us you're some sort of internet expert right?

I imagine you can manage copy and paste then. Copy this one - notley clinton pipeline comment

OK now paste it into Google and click "Enter."

You can read, right? Where do I say she didn't agree with Clinton? Open up your Google and type "notley keystone climate" and tell me what you see.

You yourself said there is no evidence she disagreed with Keystone based on it's climate impact.

So, once again, do you want to fight over what I actually wrote, or what you think I wrote? Is that the 'hill you want to die on'?

And while we're at it:

Started by Premier Stelmach, IIRC. But feel free to blame her for not shuting it down. I'm sure A_R would be happy to blame her for those job losses if she did.

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says Hillary Clinton's opposition to Keystone XL reaffirms what she's long said about the controversial pipeline expansion — that advocating for the project is a waste of time.

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/09/23 ... 80882.html

North Dakota Senator John Hoeven told the U.S. Senate on Tuesday he has heard that after six-plus years of dithering on Keystone XL, U.S. President Barack Obama will finally announce a decision in August when the U.S. Congress is on its summer recess. At that time, when few critics remain in Washington, D.C, Obama will reveal that his administration will not issue the necessary construction permits.

Thank you Alberta Premier Rachel Notley.

Your opposition to the pipeline that would carry Alberta oilsands oil to refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast has no doubt helped the White House decide to crater to pressure from environmentalists and kill the project.

Sorry I can't play right now, I'm waiting on a fork lift that was suppose to be here 10 minutes ago to take my lawn mower out of the back of my pick up.

Here's the original quote you two geniuses got all superior about as you pooed pooed the assertion.

I showed you how what's highlighted in the red is an absolute fact. He made a reasonable assumption based on that and other facts.

Was that not whiff enough for ya?

You two were puffing yourselves up again - this time trying to decide if it was better to tear a guy down by calling a liar or an idiot.

You got called on it. Stop whining.

You make me laugh! You assume, by the red highlighting, that my I'm saying that she didn't agree with Clinton. And yet, it's the other sentence that you didn't highlight, that I gave actual quotes on showing that is what I said was a lie. You know, actually quoting why Notley didn't approve (or lack of opinion thereof) of the Keystone XL? The first sentence is only there for context on the second. That's how you disprove something, by showing opinions are not based on actual facts.

And on one said he was an idiot. Nice try though! Like I said, you get to pick the hill you want to die on. Hope you liked it! [B-o]
