I'm assuming he's anit vaccination because he went completely old school on this one. Although, when I was a kid that's what some parents did. None of this antivaxxer controversy for them, it was inoculation by association and it seemed to work, dangerous or not.
Although, I don't think it's such a great idea or practice given that you can prevent your kid from getting these contagious diseases by the simple act of giving them a needle which avoids all the dangers and pitfalls of having them acquire something that could possibly kill them.
But, it's nice to see that the traditional "If it was good enough for grandpa it's good enough for me" ways of disease control are being kept alive. Next stop, bloodletting for keeping your humours right.
