Read some article the other day from a Russian national discussing how impossible it would be for Sochi to even match 1980 in terms of bringing pride to the Russians.

Yesterday it was the evil empire with a mission statement trying to be seen as impressive and successful. Now it's a mafia crack den trying to just seem 'normal'.

Al Quaida flocked off like big bird not long after Tora Bora leaving a decade long quagmire behind them. Don't totally disregard the trap aspect. (We were there to fulfill our treaty obligations, I will grant you).
