AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — A Jordanian government spokesman says Jordan has executed two prisoners, including a would-be female suicide bomber from al-Qaida.

The executions at dawn Wednesday came just hours after Islamic State militants released a video that purportedly showed a captured Jordanian fighter pilot being burned alive in a cage.

Jordan vowed a swift and lethal response.

Government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani said that two prisoners, Sajida al-Rishawi and Ziad al-Karbouli, were executed early Wednesday.

Al-Rishawi has been on death row for her role in a triple hotel bombing in the Jordanian capital Amman in 2005 that killed dozens.

No but you can reduce it to the point that it takes decades for it to surface enough to cause minor troubles.

Case in point Nazi-ism. reduced to a few pathetic hold outs in the mid 40's it did not rise it's head again till the mid 90's and then was stomped on by many world Governments.

Keep in mind this is not a West vs Islam this is the West vs Terrorism.

What, exactly, needs to be handled? We are engaged in a war with ISIS in order to degrade and destroy their ability to wage war through sustained counterterroism activity, if I understand the obective correctly.

By all accounbts, coaltiion operations are proceedings as planned, best demonstrated by ridding Kobani of ISIS. Or by recruits fleeing back to their own countries. Or by the softening of their lines due to the loss of battle-hardened fighters and only weakling idealogues like Canadian John Macguire to replace them. If anything this latest barbarity simply highlights ISIL's own weakness. It was a stupid thing to do. It will not garner them recruits, it will further alienate them from other Muslims, and it strengthens the resolve and unity of their enemies.

I see no reason to stray far from the current course as far as the war goes.

I do think Canada should simply cancel citizenship for Canadian who joined ISIS. I didn't support this at first, but now I think they've gone beyond the pale and we don't want them back in Canada.
