RIP Colonel Glenn and thank you for your service.

Pretty much everyone remembers him as an astronaut and test pilot but this legend flew 59 combat missions during the Second World War and 90 combined combat missions in Korea.

We truly lost our link to some very important pieces of history today.

RIP to a true hero. Combat veteran of WW2 and Korea who's wingman for a time was Ted Williams. 6 DFC's. First American to orbit the Earth at a time when rockets were still a good chance to get yourself killed and far less likely to get you back home. Then he did it again at 77.

Truly one of a kind.
