Trivia Tuesday - People in Jasper will have problems gettnig insurance on the loss of their homes, because they don't actually own th ehome. The King does. They just lease the land, and sign an agreement that anything they build belongs to the Crown.
There are a few cabins outside of town that are grandfathered in from the time before the park was created, which are kept in families where they do own the land. But there are very few, and they can't be sold.
