Naw, it didn't help that a lot of players couldn't score as well as they had been expected, as well as a fair bit of injuries to key players.

Agreed. McT certainly didn't help matters (he pulled some real bonehead moves), but it wasn't all his fault.
I'm still very hopeful that a new coach will be the start of an upward trend in several aspects.
