$1:
Zacharys offense? Taking a camping utensil that can serve as a knife, fork and spoon to school. He was so excited about recently joining the Cub Scouts that he wanted to use it at lunch

If kitchen utensils were explicitly banned then the kid violated the rule and the parents have to be held accountable for his taking them to school. If the school however has arbitrarily determined these items to be "weapons" then a warning should suffice for the future.

The funny thing about this law is that you are just as dead being stabbed with a pencil, in fact you are more likely to poke your eye out with a pencil because you tripped while carrying one. These laws are going to far, if someone is determined to kill their classmates they will find a way regardless.

In this case I'd fathom it has more to do with the kid being a member of an offensive-to-liberals organization than anything else.

Heh, wow.

Ii can't count the number of times i've taken a knife to school... probably in the hundreds... Butter knife of course.

Regardless of the law, the kid is likely only 9 or 10 years old, what 10 year old goes on a fucking killing spree with a butter knife?

I just want common sense to return so that I can take shampoo, contact lense solution and rum on a goddamn airplane again. That drink cart always takes so long, I feel like strangling someone on board with my shoe-laces.

Actually you can take rum on a plane, just by it after security.

I have, had the whole bottle finished by the end of the 4 hour flight, but was I ever fucked up waaaaaaaaaaaay up there. Apparently altitude magnifies effects of alcohol.

It still gobsmacks me that the teachers can't use a little discretion. It's a six year old kid showing off what he gets to do in Scouts, not some wannabe stabbist.

Simply ridiculous.
