Sounds like a bunch of political horse crap, but if the citizens didn't want it any way, this is probably a good thing.

Good on Norway for telling the IOC to get lost. I've said it before, but it's hard somedays to say who is more corrupt; FIFA or the IOC.

And these are just the bribes required during the games. The whole bidding process is a giant series of bribes where host cities aren't picked on their merit, rather, by the quality of the bribes and treatment the IOC members get.

but you can bet Norway will still show up to compete at the games :lol:

fricken hypocrites.

The IOC is staffed with pompous aholes but Norwegians are also tightwads. But, hey when oil is three bucks a litre and a public transit ride costs you six bucks can you blame them :P

Everything is so much better in Norway. The favorite country of the left wing. :lol:

We actually would have been smart to. With the venues already built, we may have been able to pay off some of the debt from the last ones. :lol:

Calgary Olympics have paid for themselves 20 times .

Montreal is never paid for......ever....at least not by anyone IN Montreal or Quebec. :lol:

I thought we were talking Winter Olympics.
