I believe it. We leave two windows open during the day and our house is covered in ash. I can't imagine what th folks down there have to contend with.

All we've got so far in Calgary is the haze and a bit of the smell. We're scheduled to get some rain for the weekend so hopefully it'll knock more of it out of the air. Mother has to use oxygen and I'm kind of worried about it ever since they issued the warning for people with respiratory problems to stay inside.

Fine black dust on ones windowsills and I'm in Richmond, far away from the nearest fire but haze and matter are being carried down through the Fraser Valley right to the coast. Closer to the fires it must be horrid. I kmow Alberta is getting hit hard with the smoke. Amazing isn't it? God, I hope it starts raining soon in the interior, this is the worst it's ever been but it should come as no suprise. They predicted back in the spring that due to the mild winter we had here it would create drier than normal conditions and combined with the heat and lack of rain so far this summer...

You will want to heed that warning. Apparently quite a few around here are having respiratory problems as well (and we've had a heavy haze for the past few days also). Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, we have that too. The fine black dust... and ash. It's all over everything. :? Guess what I'll spend my day off doing.

Everybody with problems should come here. No haze, no smoke, no ash, clean air, full sun, 35+ temps....

Last night on my way to work it was snowing ash. It literally was like a scene out of Silent Hill. Very strange and very hard to breathe after working 8 hours in it. I feel bad for the people with lung problems.

The haze was brutal yesterday here in Edmonton. At times, it was so bad that visibility was down to maybe 50 meters. So far today (* knock on wood*), it has been much better.

Same here. People ask me why I left the Okanagan. 60 straight days of 30+ summer heat is why I left.

It has been hotter here than in the Okanagan. It's going to be cold the next few days... 30-...

Just drove the grandkids back to Terrace, that ash and smoke seems to be worst from Vanderhoof to Fraser Lake right now.
Car parked in the back of the A & Rubberchew had enough ash for the kids to write in.
