Less and less do I like the people who keep insisting that every single application of Sharia Law is a misapplication of Islam.

A set of laws created by men who thought a pedophile, who slept with his followers wives whenever he felt like it, and then claimed God would punish them if they complained about it, was a prophet. There are plenty of good folk who profess to be Muslims, but Islam like other organized religions has some pretty scuzzy 'adherents'.

There does seem to be quite a few of these "misapplications".

I applaud the wisdom for Mustafa Karmel Ataturk for insisting that the Republic of Turkey's government be secular, that man knew what he was doing. I believe his motto for his new nation was "Peace at Home, Peace in the World".

Something some of these groups may want to consider.
