Good luck to them, they're going to need it. Mars missions are notoriously difficult, even the veteran Russians have an issue with Mars eating their space probes.

The one-way communication delay due to the speed of light ranges from about 3 minutes at closest approach to 22 minutes at the largest possible superior conjunction.

So... pretty much the same as it is now. 8O
