with no reduction in crime other than the harassment of gun owners. This was a Liberal attempt to 'shrink' the problem...FAIL!

Fail? Stats Canada would disagree. Crime is decreasing in Canada, despite what Steve tells you about the sky falling.

Crime was always decreasing in Canada, and since the FA the decrease actually SLOWED.

Statistics....

20% of road fatalties are caused by drunk drivers.

Therefore 80% are not, that means we should all get drunk

Crime has been decreasing since a long time. Longer than the Firearms Act.

It gives the police the ability to seize weapons without first proving that they have been used in a crime. I'm absolutely fine with that. I'm also fine with them having to pay to register them. So are the majority of Canadians.

The only reason the cons haven't got rid of it is because they know damn well it would be a very unpopular move. I think they should though, it will help ensure the usual 2 term Conservative blip, then back to a sane government.

eeeeh you have proofs for that ? Every polls they did about the registry lately were for its scrapping. And I'm in Quebec !!! Not a very conservative place...

Oh and I'm still waiting a case where the registry saved a life after almost 10 years !

If definitive proof of saving a life is the only justification for law, then we'll need to get rid of a whole bunch of them.
