I often wonder if Martin really had any clue what he was doing when he moved us into the fight. Did he think it would be a cakewalk, pumped up on the mission or was he looking to impress our allies. It was the right move but a hard one to make.

Agreed. A well balanced piecewith some very good points. That being said, there were a couple of points missed. It's no coincidence that the percieved anti-Americanism disappated with the end of the Bush Years and the arrival of Obama. Say what you will, but it's a more accurate statement to say Canada was anti-Bush rather than anti-American, though a few outspoken and high profile idiots did their best to muddy the waters. Kinda like saying the US is anti-Venezuela as opposed to being anti-Chavez.

Don't worry Gunnair. I'm sure if Obama tries, he can catch up to Chavez. :D

A very well written piece. Now we just need to get the debt paid off once Afghanistan is secure.

that's the only downside I've seen so far to the current government.

Quoted for truth.

As for the article, I started reading it, and stop after the very first page:

I just can't conceive that some people are ok with the actual gouv. I just don't understand.

but you were fine with the liberal scandals and lack of Canadian identity. If that is the case, then I don't really care what your opinion is...
