Seems like a no-brainer to me. Besides Quebec City what other city in Canada has the population to support a team? I say let's get this done.

I am really not sure if Halifax would support that team and a stadium or not... More people came to watch my UWO football team in London than have ever gone to watch SMU, DAL, or the other NS teams... if a CFL-level team would boost that attendance or not, who knows?

I am for it, I love pro sports, and the Mooseheads are a wonderful team hockey-wise (although I doubt they will have another year like this past one for quite some time) but other sports, like the basketball team here, seem to get little interest.

But, as long as I am living so far from my Chicago Bears, I would be happy to see some pro football here in my town!

I say go for it. The CFL needs to expand and an East Coast team has a better chance that Ottawa.

If southern Saskatchewan can support the Riders, why can't Halifax which is almost twice the size of Regina? If you factor in New Brunswick, PEI and the rest of Nova Scotia that's a good sized population, in a small area, to draw a viable fan base from.

If they had fans half as rabid as the Riders fans they'd have had a team in Halifax 50 years ago. As it is I don't think the mayor is going to get enough public support for the building of a new stadium to support a CFL team even if he could get sponsorship like Olands or Moose Head.
