$1: Approximately 784,756 users and accounts were subject to disclosure, based on responses from three of the nine providers. One provider responded that the ratio worked out to 1.74 requests per customer.
So, everyone in Canada was 'investigated' 2 times a year. In 2011. Anyone angry yet?

Ermmmm I think you read that incorrectly. Approx 785,000 users and accounts were subject to disclosure. I believe the 1.74 requests/customer is the average number of requests per user/account among those approx 785,000 users and accounts.

I have no freaking idea what I did in 2011. Downloaded a shit ton of games, songs, movies, and programs, that's for sure. Apparently the NSA focused on who visited ThePirateBay for several years (if they ever stopped), so I'm definitely fucked. Bummer! Oh I knew they were watching you.

They changed the wording of the article, but they implied that the 1.2 million requests were made against these 780,000 accounts, and their number was 1.74 requests per account. Either way - what government agency is requesting all this information about Canadians without a warrant, and why are the companies providing it without a warrant?

Well, the way things have been going, it was probably for the fucking Americans.
