Though it was illegal for Calgary and Toronto to trade between them since the last fleecing Calgary got.

Leaf fans live game to game. It's the only joy we have left. If we were to focus on season long performance we would need grief counselors at the games.

The recent trades will be good for Toronto and Calgary I think. JOKEinin was just wasted $$$ and I think there is some secret stuff regarding Phaneuf. I can't figure it out but it has to be more than a shake-up and dumping some salary. They do still have Bowmeister but they don't use him in a way that he can play to his potential. I also don't think Brent can coach like Darryl. Giguere will be excellent in Toronto and Phaneuf is an instant star there. Calgary could see a lot of upside from the 'supporting cast' that they acquired from Toronto but the thing is they had a bunch of those kind of players 5 years ago and more recently as well...they could have kept them then it seems.

I don't know...I was in Calgary during the strike/lockout year and Ken King was always saying on the radio that they were going to do SO MUCH for the fans when hockey 'came back' but I don't think anyone saw anything. When it turned out that hockey was just as popular as ever in Canada the owners all just forgot all about that year.
