I like how they found each other again; everyone deserves a happy ending no matter who or what they did in the past.

You have to wonder why it took them so long to start looking.
We had a few POW camps around this area and many of them stayed around here after the war or came back after getting shipped home. My neighbor across the street is widowed now, but her husband was one of Rommel's tank commanders.......and was one of our war time "guests" for a few years. A friend's grandfather was another guest who went home to nothing and came back.

So often the case, even with the nazis alot of the troops were young men happy to have work and didn't really buy into the whole doctrine, they were lucky enough to end up in decent camps and realize that the ememy wasn't nessessarily what they were taught. Many others died for a war they probably today would condem
