Gaddafi is a monster, but he was "our" monster as he allowed BP to invest in Libya's oilfields.

This is more "western" hypocrisy, everything was fine and dandy, working with this dictator, as long as the oil kept flowing, and the money kept going.

Now that he's shook, the 'reports' start coming out.

Give me a fucking break. How many more dictators are our friends in Washington and London going to keep propping up, and how many excuses will they come up with when their people forcefully remove them from office?

Forgive me, but the Lockerbie bombing might have been tolerated by Libya but it'd be rather amateurish for an act of a nation state. That said, I doubt Khaddafy personally ordered it, it's just more likely he got wind of the plan and did nothing to impede it.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did order it, but I take this claim with a huge grain of salt given what's happening right now. Let us not forget Curveball and why people would be motivated to make such claims.
