After a while, we have to stop believin it's impossible and either prove or disprove it's existence.

Hundreds of years of scientific exploration, sharing the planet with 7 billion humans and just some plaster casts of footprints kids of stacks things towards the doubtful. Just like the UFO thing in the age of iPhones, a cop anywhere in the world can't even fart and it's on youtube, we're still presented blurry photos from 1947 as 'evidence'...

herbie herbie: Hundreds of years of scientific exploration, sharing the planet with 7 billion humans and just some plaster casts of footprints kids of stacks things towards the doubtful. Just like the UFO thing in the age of iPhones, a cop anywhere in the world can't even fart and it's on youtube, we're still presented blurry photos from 1947 as 'evidence'... You should look into the more recent stuff then. Les Stroud from "Survivorman" has recently done a series skeptically exploring some of the recent evidence. http://www.lesstroud.ca/survivorman-bigfoot/Sure, some of it might be fake, produced in order to get some tourist bucks. But there is a lot of evidence out there where you can't just dismiss it as not existing. It's one thing or the other; either real or total hoax. For example, what of the Native stories of giant people living in the Forests of BC that date back to before Canada existed? Or this: (starts at 2:20 ish). Or: So it's either a hoax, or it's real. There isn't any more 'it doesn't exist'. One of those things is correct. There are many more stories in his Bigfoot series too. Too many to call all of them 'hoaxes'. Credible people with incredible stories, and they can't all be lying.

DrCaleb DrCaleb: After a while, we have to stop believin it's impossible and either prove or disprove it's existence. Be careful. If you folks prove that Sasquatch are real then you'll have another group making land claims against you.

It'd probably turn into a real-life Harry & The Hendersons with a mob of heavily-armed dumbfucks crashing around in the woods hoping to be the first to find and exterminate the unfortunate creature.

From Les Stroud's interviews, that's already been witnessed. Area designated for logging, helicopter lands, gunshots heard, fire burns and the helo flies off.

Not that it is a bad thing.

Didn't they have some ignorant "reality" show already with that premise, on some dipshit cable channel that appeals directly to the kind of submorons that jerk themselves off while rolling coal with their Dodge diesels? Bunch of hicks and rednecks running around in the dark with guns and night-vision equipment, with the prize being a million dollars if they bagged a Bigfoot? This is the sort of human depravity that makes me surprised that more of you aren't with me in cheering for the asteroid to put an end to these kind of "people" once and for all. Yeah, the rest of us get it too but at least we'd be permanently free of any more association with the two-legged sacks of garbage.

Bullshit like that was why I stopped paying $1200 a year for cable.

Relying on the jump from "when the obvious choices don't fit, consider the obscure one" to "when the scientific ones aren't 100% proven the ridiculous claim must be fact"... these green lights on our backpacks mean the noise we heard in the bush must be a sasquatch..."
I'm not dismissing UFOs and sasquatches, I'm just a follower of that old Ethiopian Emperor Highly Unlikely....

herbie herbie: Relying on the jump from "when the obvious choices don't fit, consider the obscure one" to "when the scientific ones aren't 100% proven the ridiculous claim must be fact"... No, relying on "this pile of reports are hoaxes" and "this pile of reports we can't explain" doesn't mean the ones we can't explain are ridiculous, it means they have one of two explanations. "Fact" or "fiction". Perhaps we have enough doubt now that we can actually find out, one way or the other. We just found 400 new species in the Amazon, why is is so strange we might have missed one species in North America?

You'd think we'd have found some definitive physical remains of another hominid species. ...bones or artifacts, if they've been around humans for thousands of years

$1: We just found 400 new species in the Amazon, why is is so strange we might have missed one species in North America?
Well when we're bombarded by TV shows searching in a country of 350 million human encroachers first.... did no one tell them about the film credits available in say Mission or Harrison Lake??? Like in the USA, being humaoid they might have adapted wearing trench coats and raiding dumpsters in the inner city, or coaching High School Football.... Got a buddy who's a nut on the subject, says he's seen them, smelled them, there's even some on the little mountain near here. Claims he's seen evidence in N Ontario, Manitoba, southern Alberta and here. Nothing but forest here, human settlements many miles apart - but there's so little in the native oral records that it would never even encourage someone to look. Show me skeletons, bones first.

Show me skeletons, bones first. There are millions of humans in North America, are there bones lying about? Do we know if this mystery hominid has funeral practices like Neanderthals did? Have you gone into the woods and seen the bones of moose or bears? No? Sometimes? Do you doubt that moose or bears exist? How are we to find these bones, unless we look?
