Public_Domain Public_Domain:
Well, now, there's the official source but I mean, who could trust those guys.

I'm going to see what a bunch of angry bloggers with the same access to information as me believe on this matter.

Aldo, stone's throw seems to be a very common phrase for this distence... Huff Post, Washington Post, CBC, ABC... Just google: dorner stone's throw

The body was a plant because those in Crazytown knew the jack booted state thugs were going to purposely murder the guy by burning down the cabin.

The only reason there was any doubt was because just before Dorner had shown up again the authorities were saying that they were also looking for any possible accomplices. With that said I can understand some people thinking that the guy in the cabin might not be Dorner - and considering that the LAPD had stayed on tactical alert after the cabin burned down I'd include them in the list of folks who were not certain that Dorner was dead.

Given that the LAPD has now stood down from the tactical alert and resumed regular shifts then there's no reason whatsoever for anyone to doubt that Dorner is confirmed dead.

$1:
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Police Department lifted the tactical alert and resumed normal patrol operations.

It's a sad moment in the history of media when the firefighters aren't even allowed to let all of the ammunition Dorner stockpiled to cook off before they entered the cabin. "Wah, wah, wah! We want answers now!". What a pack of assholes reporters all are now.

Meh, he didn't stockpile anything in that cabin. He broke into it carrying whatever he was carrying with him while being pursued by people who were trying their best to kill him.

And you're spot-on about the reporters being a bunch of jerks.

I got pissed off about the lack of concern everyone else had for the police and firefighters in this entire incident. Dorner obviously wasn't going to give up, but there was this expectation that the police were obligated (even at the cost of more officers' lives) to take this POS alive and protect his civil rights. And then it was like they were choked at the firefighters for not battling to put out the blaze while Dorner was still shooting at anyone who came close to the cabin. IMO, the life of a single cop or fireman was worth more than a thousand Dorner's so they did the right thing by letting the bastard burn.

Lots of 'unconfirmed' disclaimers had to be employed in the course of this story so I can't blame you for the confusion. I sincerely do not believe that any single person or agency knows all of the facts in this case...or ever will.

There's too much BS clouding the narrative for anyone to ever really ferret out the truth.

The mysteriously indestructible California Driver's License (CDL) has been explained:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2 ... -bear.html

$1:
After authorities interviewed the boat captain early Thursday, they found Dorner's wallet and identification cards "at the San Ysidro Point of Entry" near the U.S.-Mexico border, according to the court records.

Now it just needs to be explained why the CDL is still being mentioned in context with the burnt-out cabin.

The thing that disturbs me in this whole story is not Dorner's death or the manner of it, but the fact that law enforcement officials shot at two other vehicles matching the description of Dorner's vehicle, and in the process wounded (thankfully not killed) two innocent people.

Quite the mess this whole thing is, and I hope the civilians who got attacked during this get compensated. I don't want that aspect of the story just swept under the rug, which is what it seems like right now.

I'm sure the human vultures (otherwise known as lawyers) are already circling overhead to pick the LAPD coffers clean. They won't get swept under the rug, way too much money can be made by the lawyers.
