Big fucking deal. Kids were killed on a military base and the survivors were likely traumatised so, paying for their medical bills is the very least the Gov't should be doing and is something they should have done right from the start. How about some proper compensation for the survivors and the families of the deceased.

42 years and myriad of gov'ts doesn't sound like anyone is real interested in properly compensating these kids for their pain and suffering. But, hey on the plus side the apology must be really comforting.
